We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join our expanding team. The Role
As a Commercial Litigation Lawyer with at least 1-2 years post-qualification experience (PQE), you will play a key role in our Disputes Team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of complex commercial disputes, providing strategic legal advice and representation to our diverse commercial and corporate client base. You will work closely with senior lawyers and partners, contributing to the firm’s success through your expertise in litigation and dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of commercial disputes, including breach of contract, partnership disputes, commercial property disputes, and more.
- Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
- Provide strategic legal advice to clients, helping them to understand their options and the potential outcomes.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and agreements.
- Work collaboratively with other team members on large and complex cases.
- Contribute to business development activities, including building relationships with existing and potential clients.
Requirements
- Completed a Bachelor of Law Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 1-2 years’ PQE (experience in commercial litigation preferred).
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Proficiency with technology and quick to learn new systems.
- Desire to contribute to firm development and workplace culture.
- Strong academic background with proven dispute resolution and advocacy skills.
- Commitment to professional and ethical standards.
- Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent legal research, analysis and drafting skills.
- Must have a legal right to work in Australia.
- High attention to detail, tenacity and diligence, and strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
