Annette oversees our firm and helps provide strategic legal solutions to business owners, executives and directors. A high-calibre property and commercial lawyer and agribusiness specialist, Wayne has extensive experience in commercial transactions and property deals. Highly skilled in the Rural Conveyancing sector with an in-depth understanding of rural property matters in our community, Wayne’s specialities include property law, business sales and acquisitions, water licenses and commercial contracts.

Isabel is experienced in commercial litigation and dispute resolution and has worked with mid to large agribusinesses, large horse studs, race horse trainers, and veterinarians. She provides advice on commercial arrangements and contracts, commercial disputes and litigation, as well as insolvency and bankruptcy.
Lisa is a commercial transaction lawyer with experience servicing both public and private sector clients. She has experience in the delivery of private M&A transactions, business sales and acquisitions, commercial leasing and major infrastructure projects such as rail, gas and water pipelines.

Ersel is a senior corporate and commercial lawyer with more than 25 years’ experience advising businesses across Australia and the Asia Pacific.
He advises on corporate and commercial matters, private lending and capital, governance, transactions, regulatory and compliance issues, and disputes. His practice is complemented by strong experience in intellectual property, technology, data, and digital media, particularly where these intersect with core commercial and strategic decision making. Ersel is known for providing clear, commercially balanced advice that reflects both legal risk and business realities. He works closely with clients to identify key issues early, structure practical solutions, and progress matters efficiently.
He began his career at top tier law firms and has since advised a wide range of clients, including multinational companies, private and family enterprises, high net worth individuals, and public figures. Jackie is an estate planning solicitor with experience in family and corporate succession, intergenerational asset transfers, wills, trusts, probate, letters of administration, power of attorney, and enduring guardianship. Prior to obtaining her legal qualifications Jackie completed a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics, worked in the investment banking industry, and then extensively with small businesses to support and assist with financial management and reporting. Lilly Macintyre is a Solicitor based in M+E’s Scone office. Lilly was admitted in 2020 and works across our commercial law and future planning spaces.

Sybella joined Morgan + English in 2023 as a Paralegal and has since progressed into her current role as a Graduate. She recently completed a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Communications (Social and Political Science) at the University of Technology Sydney.
Having grown up in the Southern Highlands, Sybella developed a strong interest in the way legal frameworks can be tailored to meet the unique commercial and operational needs of regional and rural businesses. This perspective continues to inform her approach to practice as she builds a deeper understanding of clients’ day-to-day operations.
Sybella is an active contributor to the firm’s Workplace & Conduct team, focusing on supporting employers to implement effective systems and policies to mitigate risk and reduce the likelihood of disputes before they arise. She also assists with workplace investigations and critical incident response, an area undergoing significant change in relation to employment and safety obligations.
Outside of work, Sybella enjoys experimenting with new recipes, reading, and helicopter parenting her cat, Goose. She enjoys trying out new hobbies on the weekend before returning to her usual spot on the beach.
Monica is a Graduate Lawyer with a keen interest in intellectual property and succession law. She brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to her work and is particularly interested in how legal frameworks can both protect innovation and support long-term planning for individuals and families.
Monica completed a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Accounting) at Macquarie University. In 2024, Monica undertook an international exchange at the University of York—an experience she describes as the highlight of her studies, both academically and personally.
While Monica doesn’t come from a rural background, she brings a strong sense of curiosity and adaptability to new areas of practice and is always eager to deepen her understanding of different industries and client needs.
Outside the office, Monica is rarely sitting still. She is a passionate and active sports participant, regularly playing oz-tag, touch football andn netball. When she’s not on the field, Monica enjoys reading, exploring hands-on creative pursuits, and is currently learning both Italian and Spanish.

Jonah joined M + E as a paralegal in December 2023. He is currently in his fourth year of a Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Technology Sydney.
Growing up on his family’s thoroughbred stud in Scone, Jonah has a firsthand understanding of the breeding and racing industry. He has a particular interest in the commercial, contractual and governance aspects that underpin the sport. He assists our equine team by providing support to our solicitors, managing client outreach initiatives and learning as much as he can of the legal aspects of the industry.
Outside the office, Jonah is a keen rugby player and a regular bidspotter at bloodstock sales, with a passion for auctioneering
Marili isn’t a solicitor, but she does have a knack for keeping the solicitors — and the office — in line. With a background in Recreation Management, she likes things organised, running smoothly and, preferably, exactly where they’re meant to be.
Alongside supporting the day-to-day operations of the firm, Marili has a strong interest in accounts and enjoys being involved in the financial side of the business.

Known for her proactive approach, creative thinking, and strong attention to detail, Alex thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working collaboratively across teams to deliver thoughtful, high-quality outcomes.
With a background in creative strategy, Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Advanced Studies from the University of Sydney (2025), majoring in Media & Communications and Marketing. She specialises in translating complex legal services into clear, engaging, and commercially relevant messaging, and works across digital content, social media management, and campaign execution to ensure the firm’s offering resonates with clients and reflects its values.
Being half American and half Australian, and having been born and raised in Hong Kong, Alex brings a globally minded and culturally attuned perspective to her work. She has a strong interest in how brands connect across markets and cultures, with a particular appreciation for cultural nuance, audience insight, and consumer behaviour.
Outside of the office, Alex enjoys exploring the intersection of arts, culture, music, and design, with a particular interest in brand collaborations and creative campaigns within the beauty and fashion industries. As the Property Administration Assistant, I am responsible for the day-to-day coordination and administration of property matters, along with providing legal support to the legal property staff. My job satisfaction comes from seeing through property settlements from start to finish, delivering a seamless and no-fuss service for clients going through their important purchase or sale.
Outside of work, I love to keep active through water skiing in summer and going on long rides as a pillion passenger on my husband’s Ducati motorbike, before relaxing with a good book and glass of red.
Georgia is the Accounts Receivable officer for M+E responsible for debtor management, following up outstanding payments and working closely with the M + E accounts team.
Georgia has worked across a number of industries mainly the commercial property industry with over 11 years of experience as an Executive Assistant.
Georgia has a passion for agriculture with her involvement in their family cattle stud. Outside of work Georgia loves to keep fit and active spending time at the beach and in nature with her young children.
