On Friday 25th the Morgan + English team headed to Sheikh Mohammed’s Kelvinside Stables of Darley Stud at Aberdeen to view the impressive list of rising star stallions.
Darley being multinational in the thoroughbred industry, showed us how passionate they are about horse breeding. Standing stallions in 6 different countries, it was no wonder the parades were captivating and flawless.

With Alastair Pulford introducing each stallion, followed by a clip of it winning a race in the famous royal blue silks on the big screen behind him, the atmosphere was truly uplifting. The stallions handled the big crowds very well, showing how much hard work has been put into preparing for the parades. The stand out for us being Shooting To Win, displaying muscle, on muscle on muscle. However, Lonhro stole the show as the elder statesman, pricking his ears and being on his best behaviour for every photograph.

After getting well and truly spoilt with a beautiful lunch, we were lucky enough to hold the Melbourne Cup. With fantastic tunes playing and our Moet glasses being topped up, it’s amazing we ever left. But in true Darley style, we didn’t have to walk back to our car, Luke Mcdonald, Darley Nominations Sales Consultant was kind enough to give us a lift in one of the many ‘Darley Golf Buggies’ getting around.
