Isabel joined the M+E team in October 2016 and is now an Associate lawyer for the firm. She is an experienced commercial litigator who studied at the University of Queensland and subsequent College of Law in Sydney. Isabel’s experience is in corporate and commercial law, including areas such as corporate restructuring, governance, contracts, disputes and insolvency.

Isabel was raised on a cropping and cattle property between Moree and Goondiwindi. Her rural upbringing, combined with her corporate Sydney law firm experience, provides her with a unique understanding of how to deal with complex commercial disputes, in a rural setting.

We asked Isabel a few fun questions to help us get to know her

  1. Who inspires you?

My mum. She’s everything from a cattlewoman, to a teacher, to a chef, to a stock-hand, to an accountant, to a stockbroker, to a therapist, to a vet, to an artist, to a tractor driver, to a fencer. And she’s extremely adept at each.

  1. If you could be any animal which would you be?

A giant sea turtle. I wouldn’t mind giving living under the sea a crack, and they seem to get a good crack – about 150 years’ worth.

  1. Which individual living or dead, would you like to eat dinner with?

The Queen – but I’d want her hooked up to a lie detector to make things interesting.

  1. What is your secret talent?

I’m a fairly handy baker.

  1. What do you like most about working for M+E?

Parking’s a dream.
