The Muswellbrook Local Art Awards is an annual competition which offers local artists from the Upper Hunter the opportunity to exhibit their artistic endeavours.
The Morgan + English team had some fun this year at the opening night on Saturday the 28th of October at the Muswellbrook Regional Art Centre. Daniel Morgan, Tim Maddocks, Amber Wright and Tara White entered work in the local photography prize.
Amber leading the newbies, with this being her second year entering her work, said ‘it was fabulous to see the gallery packed full of people.’ The exhibition dates are from the 29th of October through to the 22nd of December. The gallery had 120 people attend on opening night, judge Debbie Abraham from Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery said, ‘The evening had a really good community feel.’
Next year M + E plan to sponsor the 2018 awards.
