Stallion Parade weekend kicked off with the M+E team visiting Newgate. The farm has been undergoing a major development with a new access road, loading ramp area and stallion barn in order that they are ready for the 2017 breeding season, where they will stand 13 stallions.

We were privileged to be shown the new freshman stallions including; Capitalist, Extreme Choice, Flying Artie and Winning Rupert. Bruce Slade the general manager, spoke eloquently as did Troy Stephens in singling out each stallion’s attributes. Leanna Packard and Mary O’Neil along with Nickie Cramsie were fantastic hosts. The morning was rounded off with a farm tour, to allow the M+E team to view the major developments first hand. Many thanks to Henry Field and Newgate for their great hospitality and we wish them great fortune in the forthcoming breeding season.
